Ugg style boots? Anyone else get this problem? Help!?

I%26#039;ve gotten 2 different types, and both keep moving my feet out of the boots if I%26#039;ve been walking for a bit in them.. Does anyone else get this? I mean they%26#039;re very comfortable n%26#039; all but sooo annoying when it happens, hard to walk! The guy at the counter said it happens because there isnt much support on your feet like other shoes would have, like it doesn%26#039;t hold them inside properly. I%26#039;ve also noticed other girls with the same problem as they walk! So my question is, do the ACTUAL UGG boots (not the cheap ones) hold your feet IN the boots? Even after you walk awhile in them? Because I%26#039;ve been thinking of getting a pair of the proper ones. They look better made and stronger? What do you think?

Please help, thanks! :)

Ugg style boots? Anyone else get this problem? Help!?
the person who said the EMU ones are cheap don%26#039;t listen to them, UGGS and Emu are the same price, and i have 2 pairs of each, i really like the emu better personally. I have problems with all my shoes doing that because my feet are really narrow, and small, but neither the Uggs or the Emu do that, just by my opinion i like the Emu better. and the crochet uggs are the most comfortable. hope i helped
Reply:no one time i wore them to a dance and i got all blisters and my feet were killing me for like a week
Reply:first UGGS are the most comfortaable shoes u will ever put on your feet. they do provide more support than the fake uggs and the inside is all comfy and soft. uggs are way easier to walk in.
Reply:Yes Uggs aren%26#039;t cheaps for a few reasons. They keep your feet warm, they dont make your feet sweat, and because they hold your feet in place. Ive noticed the cheap one (like emu or whatever) makes your feet go out and its partially because people cant walk right. but its really retarded looking when that happens. yes get actual uggs, they%26#039;re the best

Shoes or boots to match a red dress? (both heels)?

I have bought a lovely, shortish red/burgendy dress. Its strapless and i%26#039;m going to wear it with a black belt under my chest to make it fit better. It comes up to mid-thigh so its not too short, i was going to wear it with skin coloured tights and a black shrug sticking with the red/black theme. I was going to go black shoes/boots as well cos the red is quite difficult to match exactly. Now the question is, what would work best, black shoes or boots.

Here are some shoes similar to those i was looking at purchasing:

and here are the boots i have already:

which do you think would work best?!

Shoes or boots to match a red dress? (both heels)?
soft sole moccasins
Reply:Shoes will give you a very elegant look, as opposed to the boots that will give you a more informal look. Shoes maybe heels low pumps look great!
Reply:you are doing too much. too many articles of clothing. try the outfit with out the tights or sweater (shrug?), with regular heels not boots
Reply:I think the shoes would look much better than boots.

Which color boots should i get? And are they good for winter boots? Pictures included?

Long riding boots or jodhpur boots??

I%26#039;ve been riding in jodhpur boots since I started riding (at age 3) and I%26#039;m now 14. I think long riding boots look so much smarter, but are they more comfortable than jodhpur boots and half chaps? I%26#039;m debating on whether to buy some decent long boots for this season, (and I know that technically, I have to be 16 before I wear long boots, but none of my friends, or anyone on my yard takes any notice of that... lol) but I would just like to know which you prefer to ride in most. So, Long or jodhpur??

Thanks in advance!!!! =D

Long riding boots or jodhpur boots??
I like the zipper paddock boots (jodhpur boots) with ariat close contact half chaps...Tall boots look better, but they hurt a lot more to break in, cost TONS more, can%26#039;t stand as much wear and tear, and can be REALLY horrible to get in/out of unless you have a good zipper. Plus, half chaps tend to be more flexible for while you%26#039;re riding, and don%26#039;t require as much maintenance.

For shows, you need tall boots, as they are more traditional and usually required.
Reply:No - use the jodhpur boots. I found the long ones were too much of a b*tch to get on and off!
Reply:It%26#039;s a matter of personal preference. I have used both jodhpur boots (with half chaps) and tall boots and have found that i prefer the tall boots. I like the support that I get from a tall boot (having broken both ankles at some point in my life) and find them more comfortable for long hours spent riding.

Some people don%26#039;t like tall boots because boots constructed in the classical way, with a snug fitting shaft for the legs were sometimes difficult to get on and off. People often need hooks to pull them on and at least a boot jack to get them off. I have used them and did find them to be a major hassel, but I%26#039;ve found that some bootmakers like Mountain Horse have started putting zippers down the back of the shaft so that getting a tall boot on and off is much easier. In fact, I find it less of a hassel to get into my Mountain Horse tall boots that I did in getting on a pair of half chaps and short boots.

Again, for daily use, it%26#039;s simply a matter of personal taste and comfort.
Reply:I personally love tall riding boots! Buy a cheap pair of boot pulls and a boot-jack and their easier than tying up your jodhpur boots. They really stand out and do make you look smart in the show ring and once you get to a certain level, you%26#039;ll need to invest in a pair. I bought a cheap pair and I%26#039;ll never go back to paddock boots! Just make sure if you have a slim calf to get slim boots and if you have a wider calf, get an appropriate size (not too loose and not to tight- they%26#039;ll stretch about a quarter of an inch once you start wearing them.so if you buy a pair make sure they do come in close contact with your skin)

Oh yeah and to help get them on even quicker, wear knee-high pantyhoseocer your breeches and your boots will slide on like butter!

Good luck and hop I helped!!

Rubber riding boots: good or not?

so i want some tall riding boots but don%26#039;t need leather field boots. I found some rubber riding boots. They seem perfect for me cuz i want rubber boots for mucking (my half chaps are really hard to clean) but I also want rubber boots to ride in.... if u have rubber riding boots, are they fine to ride in? like, do they make if more difficult? heres the ones I want:

http://www.equestriancollections.com/ite...

Rubber riding boots: good or not?
I really didn%26#039;t like my rubber riding boots, they were awkward and uncomfortable.

Some people love them and they will keep your feet from getting wet. With me, they made my feet sweat, so I%26#039;d be sloshing around regardless.

A lightweight option might be field boots made out of fake leather, there are some decent looking cheap ones out there, I believe they are waterproof without the bulk.
Reply:I ride in some imitation leather (synthetic) top boots... they arnt exactly rubber... but pretty close too....i use them for breakers... because i get better grip from them... however i wouldn%26#039;t do alot of riding in them as if you dont have perfect lower leg control you can %26quot;rub%26quot; you horse... i think there are better ones out there... like these ones... so maybe something a bit better would be better...

Well good luck :)
Reply:yes they are :-) I had some and they seem to have more grip than leather
Reply:Yes, they look good for pasture or mucking out stalls. They look good enough to be show boots if you keep them clean enough. I dont know if rubber is allowed in the show ring though.
Reply:I have rubber Harry Hall riding boots but i only have short calfs so i do find them a bit restricting. I personally prefer half chaps and boots. Although once bedded in they do get better.
Reply:I preferred my leather ones, but only because I thought they looked better. Rubber ones are more than fine for riding in as long as they have a big enough heel of course.
Reply:i would say have 2 different pairs....for riding use the ones you have with your half chaps and buy the rubber ones for work around the stables
Reply:i prefer half chaps. It was sorta uncomfterable in my rubber boots. Oh, and they look fine.
Reply:I rode in boots like that for years - just kept my jodhpur boots for summertime. Long boots finally gave up last year and I haven%26#039;t got around to replacing them. If you are used to riding in half chaps they will probably feel a bit strange as you can%26#039;t feel the horse so much when you are wearing them but they are very hard wearing and keep your feet warm better than the leather ones.
Reply:Hi MIller!

They seem good. As long as they are not too stiff then they should be fine.

%26lt;3 Sam
Reply:yes, im sure those will be fine. they seem like they might be stiff but im sure youd break them in. good luck =)
Reply:plz do not buy these you will never brake them in i had the same kind there better for mucking there are very stiff and just so uncoftable thats all i got to say to try to convince you plztake my advise
Reply:Rubber riding boots don%26#039;t keep shape, so they can be uncomfortable to ride in sometimes. They are good for mucking, but if you are serious about riding then I would go with leather boots. Once leather boots get broken in they are very comfortable and they really help keep your leg in the correct position. If it were me I would go with leather boots (they are also better quality and last longer). It might be good for you to get a pair of each, the leather ones for riding and the rubber ones for mucking. Hope this helps! (For the price of those rubber boots I would just go with leather boots)
Reply:I wasn%26#039;t particularly fond of my rubber riding boots...they didn%26#039;t quite fit my calf right and were a tad short for my leg. Also, in the winter they were ssssoooo cold. I prefer riding in jeans and half chaps and then if I feel like it (or if I%26#039;m showing) then breeches and leather field boots.

Snowboard Boots - Anyone know a list of boots with integrated liners?

I have size 11 (uk) boots, which makes it difficult to find a board to fit, and stop catching my toe edge. Last time I hired some crummy boots and so am looking to get some boots of my own. I have tried adjusting my stance to duck but can%26#039;t get used to it, and have tried adjusting the height of binding so im less likely to catch an edge, but is now starting to get a real pain when doing sharp carving turns. I know Ride make a intergrated boot/liner but they don%26#039;t have a lot of choice and are difficult to get a hold of in the UK to try on. Salomon make something similar but am not sure what they%26#039;re like. I%26#039;ve only ever ridden burton. Any advice would be appreciated.

Peace out.

Snowboard Boots - Anyone know a list of boots with integrated liners?
I think the main problem you are having is your board is too narrow for you. You dont want to be forced into riding heavily ducked just because thats the only way you can ride without overhang. You should allow about 1 cm over hang either side of your board, i think you would be much better off with a wide or midwide board as its not your boots thats the problem its the width of the board you ride. Ive listed some wide boards below, im not sure on your level of riding so ive listed boards for begineers up to advanced riders.

Burton Bullet

Burton Royale

Burton Baron

K2 Union

K2 Nemisis

K2 Titan

Salomon Patrol

Arbor Roundhouse

Ride Decade

Ride Yukon

Option Booter

Option Makinean

Rome Flag

Rome Machine

Boards like the Decade and the Makinean come in both wide and regular sizes so watch out for that. Hope this helps, Good luck
Reply:Baz is right on. It%26#039;s not the boots it%26#039;s the board. Size 11 uk is size 12 us and that needs a board with a waist width of around 25.5 cm%26#039;s.

Also, boots with integrated liners (liners that don%26#039;t come out) are terrible....absolutely terrible. And they aren%26#039;t necessarily smaller than boots with removable liners. And boot fit is so different between all the manufactures and styles that it%26#039;s hard to advise on the net. You really need to go and try on as many pairs as possible and don%26#039;t fall victim to the trap of buying your boots too big. A good fitting boot is one that fits tight in the shop. So tight you%26#039;ll think it%26#039;s at least a half size too small. Boots always stretch after a few days of riding and if they fit perfect as new, then they%26#039;ll be too big when they%26#039;ve been broken in.

Boot manufacturers that I like are Burton, Northwave and Salomon. 32 makes a good boot but they are notoriously high volume (meaning they%26#039;re big for their size) and it sounds like you want to avoid that. But just because I like a boot doesn%26#039;t mean it%26#039;ll work for you. Be sure to try on as many boots as you can.

Wipe Ugg Boots down with a damp rag...?

I was told to clean your ugg boots to just every so often wipe it down with a damp rag. I did this last night and there a kind of black - white fade to some of the areas on the boot...Will this go away? Is there any kind of cleanser I can buy to clean and make it go away? Or sadly, are my $120 boots ruined?

Wipe Ugg Boots down with a damp rag...?
Did you walk in salt or something? Cause that is what happened to my boots too, sometimes if you go on the website they give out ideas for cleaning and stuff, up to you really, but I have heard that damp cloth works the best.
Reply:no its true i have black uggs they were $130 too its true u wipe them down they clean fast im 16 and yeaa i was walking in puring rain my botts were soggy next day looked like new!!! its true just wet it
Reply:well did you use the spray that they offer to protect them from water? maybe you should check at the store where you bought them to see if you can fix them.
Reply:no they are ruined because uggs cant get wet, and arent supposed to be cleaned.. hopefully u got them from nordstom because they will replace any shoe for free.

Boots how can i get them on?

does any one know a home remdie i can use to get on some long *** boots that my husband bought me tired to put lotion on my feet and that worked what about the rest of my leg ps they are like the boots in pretty woman

Boots how can i get them on?
I got a pair of boots from a girl that were too small for me. I%26#039;m a guy and I was putting together this great little Halloween outfit with a leather skirt, matching little top, and even a matching jacket ... an outfit like this had to have boots right? Well this girl I knew had a great pair of boots she wanted to get rid of that matched my outfit perfectly. Only problem is they were a little too small.

Here were her suggestions to get my feet into them: A shoe stretcher, she even suggested putting them in a hot humid (steamy) bathroom with the shoe stretcher in them. You don%26#039;t want to get the boots wet but a little humidity helps. Leather lotion on the boots (helps soften and protect the leather). And, getting the boots warm.

I had good luck with the leather lotion on the boots and getting them warm (in the sun for a bit). Then they were soft enough and stretched enough to get my feet into them. Once I had them on, I had to wear them for the night to stretch them out and break them in a bit. Spent the night walking around in a pair of high heel boots. It was worth it though, the outfit looked great!
Reply:Well if you cant get them on then you have a problem. You should not be wearing boots that you cant even get into. I say buy some new ones that fit.

Snow board boots?

Im looking at buying boots for the first time on line. is it best to go for a size bigger than my normal shoe size as ive heard that boots tend to be smaller than normal and do the bindings fit any board or any boot . as you can tell this is my first time hitting the slopes any advice much appreciated thanks.

Snow board boots?
Some boots fit smaller than their indicated size. I ride Vans and they fit true to size. If you get them locally at a board shop, they you can try them on to feel the fit. I%26#039;d recommend this since you are not familiar with snowboard gear. If you do get the boots online, many of the shops will indicate if you should order a larger, smaller or the same size as your shoes. Boots should be snug, but you should be able to wiggle your toes comfortably. Wear snowboard socks when trying on boots to get the correct feel. Avoid wearing two pair of socks as they can bunch up and be uncomfortable. I like Under Armour or Burton for socks.

Bindings come in size ranges. Fit the binding that goes with whatever size boot you wear.

For the most part, all bindings fit all boards. All boards, with the exception of Burton use the 4x4 mounting pattern. Burton uses the 3D pattern. If you want to use non-Burton bindings on Burton boards, you will need to use the 3D mounting disc. They usually come with the bindings, but you may have to purchase them separately. If you want to use Burton bindings on any other board, you need to use the 4x4 disc .

Unless tamibullets is a rider for Nike, she is not a snowboarder. Nike won%26#039;t have their boots out until late summer of 08. They have had mixed reviews at best.
Reply:Well, you really want to get a pair of boots that is comfortable and fit your right. They will need to fit you tightly, but not so tight where they%26#039;re cutting off circulation ;-)

Ride makes pretty good boots for good prices.

As for boots and bindings, they do have sizes on bindings. You want to make sure they fit the board correctly and your foot isn%26#039;t totally too long for the width of the board.

This website is pretty helpful in determining what kind of gear works for you!
Reply:Have fun, my son snowboards and loves every second of it!

Your best bet is to go to a local sporting goods store and find the brand you like. It is better if you can find the exact ones, but at least the brand. Try them on and get ones that feel just a little larger than you wear your shoes. This allows you to wear heavier socks( it gets cold out there!) or multiple pairs.

If you cannot do that do get a pair bigger than the shoe size you wear now. The bindings are best left off the board until after shipping. As a matter of fact most places will not ship with them on as it can damage the board. The brand of bindings does not matter pick what you like and when you go to the slopes pay the ski area the few bux they charge to fit the bindings to you it is worth it.
Reply:Some boots tend to be smaller than normal but this doesent apply to all brands so you cant take this as a rule of thumb. Id say generally the length you normally get for shoes etc will be the same for boots, but you also need to take your width of foot and your foot shape into account as different brands suit different foot shapes. This is why it would be a really bad idea to buy your boots online, you definately need to try boots on before you buy them. The best thing to do is go down your local store and try on a large range of boots made by different brands and go with the ones that fit your feet the best. They should be tight but still comfee, your toes should brush against the front of the boot, and when you lift your heel off the ground the base of the boot should follow your heel rather than pull through. You will find that brands like 32, Vans, DC suit people with wider feet, wheres Salomon, Northwave, Rome suit people with slimmer feet.

You will find that most bindings fit most boards, and most bindings fit most boots, but there are a few makes that clash a bit so again its best to get this checked out down a shop. Id advise you to get your boots first then your board and bindings after that. Hope this helps, Good luck with the riding.
Reply:Get a pair of boots that fit and are comfortable....

The bindings tend to come in 3 sizes, S,M,L....

There are 2 widths of board, usually up to boot size UK10 (US11) is a regular board, and over that is a FAT board, the shop will sort you with the right size board and bindings
